This store was not on the map, I found it when I was looking for another one. It’s called 14,80 and it exists for nearly 14 years now. The owner is Marcus Mathibe, and he sells vinyl and shellack, lamps and vintage, antique and design, as you can see on the photos. Unfortunately he said he will close this store permanently soon.

MusicAndBooks is just across the road from Vinylos, and inside the store I met Norbert Walden, who founded this store 42 years ago in October 1977. The anniversary will be celebrated this year on Sep, 28th and 30th. He moved into this location in 1999 and you can find loads of CDs and vinyl from all styles. And well, after a short chat Norbert became a supporter, too! This never happened before, three stores, all in the same area, all become supporter within an hour. Much love to Nuremberg - I’ll definitely come back soon!!

mono-Ton
A few weeks before I started this tour from Hamburg to Munich, Sebastian aka @sebb_o contacted me and said I really have to come to Nuremberg, they have a good record store scene over there. And since Nuremberg is not too far from Munich, and I had plans to visit Munich asap, I promised to really come to Nuremberg soon. Sebastian is one of the people behind mono-Ton. And it’s a good one: mono-Ton opened doors in 2001 and they moved to this location in 2015. Sebastian told me: “Today we're offering records and cds. In the first floor you can find rock, pop, indie, jazz, funk, soul, electronic music, krautrock, blues and world music - new and second hand. Downstairs we've set up our hifi shop. In two studios you can find turntables, speakers, ampflifiers, cd players, streamer and everything else you need. New and second hand as well. Something special? Yes! We have a italian coffee machine and cold drinks! Regularly instore gigs and our own record label: mono-Ton-records.” Oh, and mono-Ton is supporting recordstores.love!

KILL-O-ZAP - music & more
Next stop in Nuremberg was Kill-O-Zap. Here I met Sebastian, who told me: “Our store opening was on January 7th 2011. In January 2019 we moved to our new address. We buy and sell records, CDs, DVDs and a few tapes from almost ALL kinds of music. Musically our main focus is on Pop/Rock, Metal, Punk and Indie, but there's also plenty of Jazz. Media wise we're specialized on vinyl in all shapes and sizes. Alongside we buy and sell Hifi gear, merch (band shirts, posters...), books and other stuff we consider cool. Personally I'm loving and collecting mainly Metal and Punk for about 30 years. Maybe that's why we have a bigger selection of these styles than some other stores.“
