If you are more into harder electronic music, Toolbox might be your preferred store. The owner Christophe started it back in 1998, but before that he already worked as a record seller and distributor. He told me: “Toolbox exists since 1998. In 2001 I started another shop called Sphénoïde, this one existed until 2006, while Toolbox had moved into the current location in 2003. We are more and more specialized into hard electronics and dub/bass music of all kind. We are 99% vinyls. The name of the shop is Toolbox, because our vinyls are DJ oriented. And we focus on the french hardtechno, because thats's our soul, our base since the beginning, producing a lot of soundsystems, artists, newcomers and oldschool... for this style we are one of the source. We fight for independance. And we produce loads of records in hardcore, tribe, hardtechno, bass music, drum and experimental every year... none of them can be found in supermarkets.
