Ray’s Jazz has a long tradition: It was established in 1975 by Ray Smith (1934-2011) and for a long time (since the 80s) it had a location in Shaftesbury Avenue. In 2002 Ray’s was bought by Foyles and moved into Charing Cross Road. So it’s not an independent anymore, but it still has a good celection of vinyl and cds. Behind the counter you see Samuel Barton presenting his favourite record.
